How do I start a drive?
Open CoolDown and tap Start Drive. V1 starts drives manually; it does not automatically detect that you are driving.
Why does CoolDown need location?
Foreground location is used during an active drive for speed, GPS quality, distance, average/max speed, and supported driving-event calculations. V1 does not request background location.
What do GPS Good, Weak, and Unavailable mean?
These states reflect the quality or availability of location information reported by the device. Weak or unavailable GPS can reduce the reliability of speed and distance readings.
How do spoken reminders work?
CoolDown uses the Android text-to-speech engine installed or selected on your device. For offline use, install an offline voice for your preferred language in Android's TTS settings when supported by your device.
Can CoolDown work without cell service?
Core driving features do not require a CoolDown cloud connection. GPS itself does not require cellular data, although initial location acquisition and device services can vary. Offline spoken coaching depends on having a local TTS voice installed. Subscription access uses a bounded locally cached entitlement after a successful store check and periodically needs Google Play connectivity to refresh.
What is Calm Mode?
Calm Mode responds to measurable driving events. It does not detect or diagnose anger, frustration, stress, impatience, or any other emotion.
How do I switch between MPH and KM/H?
Open Settings and select the units you prefer. The selection applies to supported speed, distance, summary, history, and spoken-value displays.
How are subscriptions priced?
Current price, currency, billing period, and any eligible free-trial terms are provided by the store. CoolDown does not hard-code a universal price into its purchase display.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Manage or cancel an Android subscription through Google Play. Uninstalling CoolDown does not cancel the subscription.
How do I delete my local data?
The current V1 does not include a single delete-all-data button. You can clear CoolDown's app storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to remove local data from that installation. Platform backups may need to be managed separately.
Does CoolDown track my route?
V1 does not store a route map or raw coordinate history in trip records. GPS samples are used during the active drive to calculate supported metrics.
